I have used several very simple rice cookers and never thought I would need one with a digital timer. I am very happy with this purchase. The aroma digital rice cooker inside non-stick coating is probably the highlight; it is so easy to clean. digital rice cooker no sticking from right after the rice is done to a couple days later (I know that sounds a little gross but that leads me to my next point). It is very well insulated. I had used the steaming option and at least four hours later the water was still warm. I have not used the other cooking options. It is a very simple machine to use.

The two cons I have about this product is the non-detachable power cord. The other rice cookers I have used had detachable cords. A minor inconvenience I can easily live with. The other con would be the lid, sorta. The simple rice cookers I have used before the lid was not attached with a hinge so the lid and rice pot could be put into the fridge. Now I must either cover it with saran wrap or fill up some plastic containers. Also a minor inconvenience I had live with.

My mother has a very old and beaten up rice cooker that she loves, but it's easier to take apart a jet engine than clean that rice pot. I am giving her this as an Christmas present.
